| AYFL MISSION STATEMENT The Apalachin Youth Football League (AYFL) is a non-profit, parent supported program for boys and girls, ages 5-12. Our goal is to teach the children good sportsmanship, help them develop their athletic skills, and at the same time have fun in a relaxed, competitive atmosphere. Our program is made possible through parental support, United Way, the Apalachin Fire Department, and the many area merchants noted in our ad book. Local volunteers and merchants of the southern tier region have continued to support AYFL in fund raising events. These contributions have enabled us to continue providing our youth with quality memories and experiences they will have for a lifetime. Our mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of children primarily through a parent supported program. We assist them in achieving their highest potential as they grow to become confident, competent and caring individuals. |
2009 REGISTRATION SIGN UPS ARE: Sunday, June 14, 2009 from Noon to 3:00pm Saturday, July 18, 2009 10:00am to 2:00pm AT OUR FIELD LOCATED ON PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, APALACHIN, NY Flag $35.00 Tackle 7-8 9-10 11-12 $50.00 Cheerleader 7-8 9-10 11-14 $40.00 NO REFUNDS ONCE PRACTICE HAS STARTED LATE FEE ($10.00) You must supply the league with a copy of your childs birth certificate if they are playing tackle football. If your child has played before the league should have one on file. AYFL tackle football team’s play in the Southern Tier Youth Football Conference made up of many Southern Tier communities. Although we encourage coaches to play every player in a game, football is a competitive sport and is played on attendance at practices, ability and experience. THERE IS NO REQUIRED PLAYING TIME RULES IN THIS LEAGUE Raffle tickets to be purchased at the time of registration. The stubs may be filled out and submitted for the drawing or if you prefer, you may sell the tickets and hand in the subs at a later date. Additional raffle tickets are available throughout the season and prizes will be awarded at the banquet for top sellers. Apalachin Youth Football League is entirely dependent upon the efforts of the parents and interested adults for the success of the program. |
